The Accounts Chamber Became a Member of the INTOSAI Working Group on Public Debt

The Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Uzbekistan has officially been admitted to the INTOSAI Working Group on Public Debt (WGPD).

This was announced in an official letter sent by Gamaliel Cordoba, Chairperson of the Commission on Audit of the Republic of the Philippines and Chair of the INTOSAI Working Group on Public Debt (WGPD).


The letter notes that the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s interest in participating in the activities of the INTOSAI Working Group on Public Debt was highly appreciated. In accordance with the requirements of the Working Group’s Charter and following consultations with the Deputy Chair of the WGPD, the Supreme Audit Institution of Argentina, the Chamber of Accounts was accepted as a new member of the Working Group.


For reference: The INTOSAI Working Group on Public Debt is a prestigious expert platform dedicated to promoting the highest international standards in public debt auditing, advancing best practices in public debt management, facilitating knowledge and experience sharing among Supreme Audit Institutions, developing methodological guidelines, and strengthening international cooperation in this field.


The letter expresses confidence that the participation of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Working Group will contribute not only to the further improvement of the national audit system but also to strengthening the collective efforts undertaken within INTOSAI to advance public debt auditing.


Membership in the INTOSAI Working Group on Public Debt provides the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Uzbekistan with an important opportunity to study advanced international practices in public debt auditing, introduce modern approaches and methodologies into national practice, and further expand effective cooperation with international experts in this field.
