Egyptian Auditor: “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Audit Will Bring Public Auditing to a New Stage”

Within the framework of the international conference held in Tashkent on the topic “Digitalization of Audit Processes and Analysis of Big Data Using Artificial Intelligence,” Kareem Ismail Azizeldin, representative of the Supreme Audit Institution of Egypt, shared his views on the significance of the event and Egypt’s experience in digitalizing public audit.

According to him, the topics discussed during the conference — including Big Data, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence-based audit approaches — are currently among the most relevant priorities for Supreme Audit Institutions.

“The issues raised during this event are of particular importance at the current stage of public audit development. Today, most government systems are achieving significant results in digital transformation. Under such conditions, moving from traditional audit methods toward digital auditing and AI-based analytical mechanisms contributes to improving audit effectiveness,” said Kareem Ismail.

During the conference, the Egyptian expert presented his country’s practical experience in this field.

In particular, the presentation covered Egypt’s artificial intelligence governance system, the introduction of AI into public administration processes, the strategy for responsible use of artificial intelligence, and the five-stage model implemented by the country’s Supreme Audit Institution.

Practical approaches were also introduced to improve analytical quality, operational efficiency, and decision-making processes through the use of artificial intelligence technologies and digital tools in auditing.

It should be noted that this international conference is being organized within the framework of implementing the tasks set by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to further improve the system of public audit and financial control.

The main objective of the event is to exchange international experience in applying digital technologies, Big Data, and artificial intelligence in public auditing, develop digital analytics skills among young auditors, and strengthen international cooperation.

The conference is being held on the platform of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (AZOSAI), where member states and international experts are discussing advanced approaches to the future of public auditing.
