The Chmaber of Accounts became a member of INTOSAI’s Working Group on Big Data

The Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been admitted as a member of the Working Group on Big Data operating within the framework of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).

For information, the INTOSAI Working Group on Big Data was established in 2016 and serves as an international specialized platform focused on the effective application of large-scale data (Big Data), artificial intelligence, and advanced digital technologies in audit processes. Currently, more than 30 Supreme Audit Institutions actively participate in the Working Group.


The Chair of the Working Group is the National Audit Office of the People’s Republic of China, while the Vice Chair is the Supreme Audit Institution of the United States.


The main objective of the Working Group is to exchange knowledge and experience on integrating big data and related technologies into audit activities within the framework of INTOSAI’s strategic goal — “Knowledge Sharing and Services.”


The activities of the Working Group cover the following key areas:


- Identifying challenges and opportunities arising in big data auditing;


- Integrating artificial intelligence, data analytics, statistical methods, and real-time monitoring into audit processes;


- Strengthening bilateral and multilateral technical cooperation among Supreme Audit Institutions;


- Developing training and methodological guidelines, practical recommendations, and best practices;


- Conducting international experience-sharing events and practical presentations.


The admission of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Uzbekistan to this Working Group is of significant importance in deepening digital transformation within the public audit system, expanding the use of big data and artificial intelligence technologies, and introducing advanced international best practices.
