President of Uzbekistan participated in the EAEU summit
On June 27, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the regular meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (EAEU) in Minsk (Belarus) as head of the observer state.

The agenda included issues of further expansion of multilateral trade and economic cooperation, support for industrial cooperation projects, and implementation of joint programs in priority areas of cooperation.
In his speech, the President of Uzbekistan emphasized that further expansion and deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation with the EAEU countries is one of the priorities of our country's foreign economic policy.
The head of our state informed the participants of the meeting about the development of multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Eurasian Economic Union. During the period of interaction in the status of an observer state, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with the Union countries increased by 80 percent and amounted to 18 billion dollars by the end of last year.
In conclusion, the head of our state emphasized that Uzbekistan's participation in the multilateral programs and projects of the EAEU will serve to strengthen economic partnership and promote sustainable development of our countries.
During the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev also met with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.
