Asian Evaluation Week 2025

“Asian Evaluation Week 2025” was held in Xi’an, China from 1 to 4 September 2025. The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Finance of China and the Asian Development Bank.

The theme for this year was “Navigating Crises: Building on Successes”.


The 2025 event brought together over 200 international development experts from the financial and academic communities of the Asia-Pacific region. The event was also attended by Sh. Mamatkulov, Head of Department, Chamber of Accounts of Uzbekistan.


Throughout its 10-year history, Asian Evaluation Week has served as a relevant and effective platform for knowledge development and collaboration.


As part of Asian Evaluation Week 2025, thematic sessions were held on a number of relevant topics:

1) Inclusion;

2) Technology and Innovation;

3) Climate change;

4) Public administration and country assessment systems;

5) The role of evaluation in the private sector.


During the week, representatives of Asian governments and UN agencies (UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA) discussed issues of building national capacity in these areas.


During the events, adaptive strategies and innovations of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank to improve decision-making were also discussed.


Participants also learned about China's practical experience in managing and evaluating the effectiveness of "livable cities" projects.


Asian Evaluation Week 2025 concluded its work as a platform for exchanging experiences, bringing together many international and national experts.
