A New System for Training the Next Generation of Personnel for the Public Audit Sector Will Be Introduced in Uzbekistan
The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan has adopted a resolution “On the Targeted Orientation of Talented Youth to the Public Audit Sector and the Establishment of Training for Competent and Highly Qualified Specialists.”

This resolution is aimed at ensuring the implementation of the previously announced Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF–252 dated December 18, 2025, “On Additional Measures to Further Improve Public Audit and Financial Control Activities,” and introduces a new system for training highly qualified professionals in the field of public audit based on international standards and advanced foreign practices.
According to the resolution, starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, admission procedures have been established for the Higher School of Public Audit at the Tashkent State University of Economics, whose legal status is equivalent to that of a faculty.
In addition, the curricula for the bachelor’s degree program in “Public Audit” will be developed based on the experience of higher education institutions ranked among the world’s top 300 in subject rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and Times Higher Education (THE).
The resolution also introduces new mechanisms for selecting talented young people and preparing them specifically for the public audit sector. In particular, applicants choosing the “Public Audit” field of study will be required to possess national or international certificates with at least B2 level proficiency in a foreign language and at least Level B in mathematics.
Applicants holding the relevant certificates will be exempt from entrance examinations in foreign language and mathematics and will only take exams in their native language and the History of Uzbekistan.
The resolution will contribute to building a reserve of professional personnel for the public audit system who are competitive, possess modern knowledge and skills, and are capable of working in accordance with international standards.
At the same time, extensive promotional and development activities will be carried out to strengthen the integration of education, research, and practice in the field of public audit, as well as to increase young people’s interest and participation in this area.
