Representative of the Chamber of Accounts participated in an international forum held in Baku

The Annual Forum of the Islamic Development Bank was held in Baku, Azerbaijan, on 16–19 June 2026.

Within the framework of the forum, the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized an international event entitled “Digital Public Audit for Sustainable Regional Integration”.

The event was attended by two officials of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H. Jamalov and J. Dovurov.


Nasir Sadigov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan, emphasized that digital transformation is of strategic importance for improving public administration, public services and accountability mechanisms.


It was noted that real-time data processing, more accurate risk assessment, analysis of big data and efficient use of audit resources significantly enhance the quality and effectiveness of audit activities.


During the event, H. Huseynov, Member of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a member of the INTOSAI Forum for INTOSAI Professional Pronouncements (FIPP), delivered a presentation entitled “Digital Public Audit for Sustainable Regional Integration”.


The presentation highlighted the development of digital infrastructure in Azerbaijan, the challenges facing Supreme Audit Institutions in the digital era, the digitalization strategy for 2026–2030, and ongoing reforms aimed at digitalizing public audit.


In addition, panel discussions were held with the participation of representatives of the Supreme Audit Institutions of Azerbaijan, China, Türkiye, Pakistan, the Republic of Korea and Uzbekistan.


The discussions focused on enhancing the effectiveness of audit activities through the use of artificial intelligence, big data analytics, digital audit systems and information platforms.


Participants shared their experiences in applying digital audit and information systems.


Presentations were made on implemented initiatives, achieved results and future development directions.


H. Jamalov, representative of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, delivered a thematic presentation on ongoing reforms in the field of public audit in Uzbekistan, the development of digital audit, the use of information systems and the expansion of the exchange of best practices.


In particular, detailed information was provided on the operation of the Chamber of Accounts’ “Remote Audit” automated information system, as well as on risk identification mechanisms and the use of artificial intelligence.


The event contributed to accelerating digital transformation processes in the field of public audit, expanding cooperation on the application of new technologies and further strengthening the exchange of best practices among Supreme Audit Institutions.
