The ceremony was attended by the Auditor General of the People's Republic of China Mr. Hou Kai, Secretary of the Party Committee of NAU Mr. Dong Birong and President of the University Mr. Lu Hualian.

As part of the visit, Doctor of Technical Sciences M. Abdullaev was awarded the title of "Honorary Professor" of the NAU for the development of cooperation between the supreme financial control institutions of the two countries and current scientific research in the field of audit and technology.

Mr. Hou Kai sincerely congratulated M. Abdullaev on the assignment of a new honorary title. According to him, M. Abdullaev's research and practical activities will contribute to the development of the public external audit sphere in Uzbekistan.

President of the University Mr. Lu Hualian expressed confidence that this ceremony is an important stage in deepening mutual trust between China and Uzbekistan and expanding cooperation in the field of audit. He expressed hope for further deepening cooperation in the field of audit and interaction to promote global governance.

In turn, M. Abdullaev highly appreciated the cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions of the two countries and noted that it was a great honor for him to receive the title of "Honorary Professor" of the NAU. Then he delivered a speech to the faculty and students of the university.

It was also noted that two employees of the COA of Uzbekistan began their studies in the two-year master's program in auditing at the NAU. During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding on trilateral cooperation between the NAU, the COA of Uzbekistan and Tashkent State University of Economics was also signed.

It was attended by M. Abdullaev, Mr. Lu Hualian and the first vice-rector of Tashkent State University of Economics S. Mekhmonov.

According to the memorandum, the Parties reached agreements on holding joint academic events, developing the potential of the faculty, student exchange and joint scientific research.

Another important point. During the event in Nanjing, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Bukhara State University and the Nanjing Audit University. The document was signed by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Bukhara State University M. Abdullaev.

The above memoranda will serve as the basis for academic and professional cooperation between leading Uzbek and Chinese universities in the field of public sector audit, interregional research and many other areas.

At the end of the event, Mr. Hou Kai solemnly awarded the "Auditor General's Scholarship" to a number of students who had demonstrated high performance.
