The Chamber of Accounts signed a memorandum with KPMG Academy.
A solemn opening ceremony of the KPMG Academy was held at the Tashkent campus of the Singapore Institute of Management Development.

KPMG has been providing auditing, tax, and consulting services to local and international companies in Uzbekistan for 7 years.
The Chamber of Accounts (COA) of the Republic of Uzbekistan has initiated cooperation with KPMG Academy and the Singapore Institute of Management Development.
At the opening of the Academy, Deputy Chairman of the COA Sardor Mirzaev emphasized that this reflects the agency's commitment to innovative thinking and the introduction of new approaches in the field of state financial control and external audit.
It is known that on January 20 of this year, a presentation was given to the President about the work carried out by the COA in 2024 and its key tasks for 2025. Several priority tasks were outlined for the COA during the presentation.
The President particularly highlighted the importance of extensively implementing an audit system based on international standards and training the COA's staff in accordance with these standards.
To achieve this, the COA, together with KPMG Academy and the Singapore Institute of Management Development, organized a prestigious ACCA qualification program for its staff.
Under the ACCA program, employees of the COA will gain exposure to international financial reporting standards, emerging trends in financial control and audit, and international best practices, with participation from qualified specialists of KPMG Academy and the Singapore Institute of Management Development. The program will involve 20 auditors from the COA and will last for 18 months, providing extensive theoretical and practical knowledge in auditing according to international financial reporting standards, financial management, and performance management. These steps also lay the groundwork for the COA's gradual participation in audits of international organizations.
During the opening ceremony, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the COA and the Tashkent branch of the Singapore Institute of Management Development.
The Rector of the Singapore Institute of Management Development, Ilhom Mamatkulov, expressed confidence that this memorandum will serve as the foundation for long-term cooperation in human resource development in finance and audit, particularly regarding the transition to international standards.
Additionally, joint educational programs aimed at enhancing human resources in external audit, as well as conferences, seminars, and training sessions, are planned.
Such educational programs will gradually be implemented in other government agencies, contributing to more transparent and efficient financial control and reporting processes in Uzbekistan.
