During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts A. Allaberganov emphasized that the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Germany has been steadily developing in recent years and that mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries is reaching a new level in the field of public administration.

Information was also provided on the reforms being implemented within the Chamber of Accounts, the introduction of international auditing standards, digitalization processes, the remote audit system, and efforts aimed at strengthening international cooperation.

The parties discussed issues related to enhancing human resource capacity in the field of public audit, introducing international best practices, utilizing the capabilities of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, and ensuring the efficient use of public funds.

For reference, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) has been operating in Uzbekistan for more than 30 years, making a significant contribution to the modernization of public administration, improvement of the healthcare system, support for digital transformation processes, and strengthening the rule of law. Today, GIZ operates in approximately 120 countries around the world.

During the meeting, GIZ representatives expressed their readiness to establish broad and long-term cooperation with the Chamber of Accounts. In particular, both sides noted their interest in implementing joint projects aimed at ensuring transparency in the public procurement system, combating corruption, and improving the efficiency of public spending.

The participants also exchanged views on enhancing the professional qualifications of Chamber of Accounts staff, organizing short-term training courses and workshops based on international standards, arranging internships in Germany and European Union member states, and expanding cooperation in the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of public auditing.

The parties expressed confidence that this dialogue would provide a solid foundation for mutually beneficial cooperation between the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the German Society for International Cooperation and confirmed their readiness to implement concrete joint initiatives and projects in the future.
