For reference, Nanjing Audit University was established in 1983 through the cooperation of the Ministry of Finance of China and the National Audit Office (Supreme Audit Institution). It is the only university in the world that bears the name “Audit.”

Opening the meeting, M. Abdullaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts, emphasized that expanding international cooperation in auditing, promoting science and innovation, and training modern specialists are among today’s key priorities.

As noted during the meeting, modern auditing is no longer limited to the examination of financial statements but is increasingly enriched by Big Data analytics, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and scientific approaches. In this regard, Nanjing Audit University is recognized worldwide as one of the leading academic centers in audit education and research.

It was also noted that in September 2025, M. Abdullaev was awarded the title of “Honorary Professor” of Nanjing Audit University.

In his remarks, M. Abdullaev stressed the special importance of cooperation with Nanjing Audit University and stated that he regards the honorary title awarded to him as a recognition of the reforms and modernization efforts being implemented in Uzbekistan’s auditing sector.

During the meeting, the participants highlighted that the Cooperation Agreement recently signed between Nanjing Audit University, Tashkent State University of Economics, and Bukhara State University would further strengthen bilateral relations.

In addition, it was noted that, at the initiative of the university, more than 1,000 books and educational materials from the “Phoenix Library” Foundation would be donated to Tashkent State University of Economics, providing an important source of knowledge for students.

The parties discussed cooperation in specialist training, joint research projects, academic exchange programs, and further collaboration in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital auditing.

Special attention was given to training Chamber of Accounts personnel in accordance with international standards. In particular, it was emphasized that two employees of the Chamber of Accounts had begun master’s studies in auditing at Nanjing Audit University during the 2025–2027 academic period, marking the first such initiative. It was also announced that two additional young specialists are planned to be sent to the university for studies during 2026–2028.

Dong Birong, in turn, emphasized the steady progress being achieved under China’s “Belt and Road” Initiative. Within the framework of this program, Nanjing Audit University has trained more than 420 international audit specialists to date.

It was also noted that, based on the Roadmap approved in April 2025, measures aimed at expanding audit cooperation between Uzbekistan and China are being implemented effectively.

Dong Birong stated that joint educational programs with Tashkent State University of Economics and Bukhara State University in formats such as “3+1” and “4+0” would be actively launched.

The Chinese delegation also visited the Remote Monitoring Center established at the Chamber of Accounts. During the visit, information was provided on the Chamber’s activities in the field of remote public financial control.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further expand cooperation and implement new joint initiatives and promising projects.
