Representatives of the Supreme Audit Institution of Latvia, Valentin Persans and Zane Vintere: On the Prospects of Digitalizing Audit
Within the framework of the international conference held in Tashkent on “Digitalization of Audit Processes and Analysis of Big Data through Artificial Intelligence,” representatives of the Supreme Audit Institution of Latvia, Valentin Persans and Zane Vintere, shared their views on the significance of the event and Latvia’s experience in digitalizing public auditing.

They noted that Uzbekistan became one of the countries they would like to visit again and explore more deeply. Its rich culture, hospitable and sincere people, beautiful and well-maintained environment, and steadily developing progress left a very strong impression on them.
They also stated that they are planning to return to Uzbekistan with their family members in the near future and acknowledged that the country possesses remarkable beauty and a rich historical heritage.
Speaking about cooperation between the Accounts Chambers, they emphasized that bilateral cooperation has been developing effectively and productively and that exchanging experience is extremely important for both sides. They noted that they highly value this partnership because it represents an important step toward improving institutional performance.
Commenting on the conference, the representatives stated that the event had been organized at a very high level and that the topics discussed are highly relevant and important today. They also highlighted the excellent cultural program.
They particularly emphasized that the demonstration of Uzbekistan’s practical tools and experience in digitalization made a strong impression.
The representatives expressed satisfaction at having had the opportunity to participate in the conference and highly valued the experience. They noted that the organizational program had been carefully designed and included elements of Uzbekistan’s history, allowing them to better understand the traditions of the Uzbek people and the country’s current development.
Speaking about the Accounts Chamber’s Remote Audit Center, they stated that it left an outstanding impression on them, noting that the technologies and tools introduced there were developed at an exceptionally high level — even beyond their expectations.
The guests also emphasized that all the presented solutions impressed them greatly, that the level of digitalization was remarkably advanced and could work effectively within government institutions. They stated that in the future they intend to propose to their organization’s leadership the possibility of introducing certain aspects of the center’s experience.
In turn, the specialist noted that they are not yet fully familiar with the mechanisms for identifying and managing risks through the system but expressed interest in gaining a deeper understanding of the approaches and practices used for the full digitalization of audit processes.
They emphasized that exchanging experience in this area would create opportunities for even more effective cooperation in the future.
Zane Vintere expressed sincere gratitude to all organizers for the high level of hospitality, attention, and support that made the visit even more productive and meaningful.
