Priority tasks have been identified to strengthen financial control in the preschool and school education system.

At the initiative of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a training seminar dedicated to further improving the system of state audit and financial control was held at the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was aimed at ensuring the implementation of Presidential Decree No. PF-252, as well as systematically strengthening state financial control.

The seminar was attended by the ministry’s leadership and more than 306 responsible managers and specialists from 234 organizations within the system, including chief accountants and representatives of internal audit and compliance services.

During the event, the representative of the Chamber of Accounts at the ministry — Chief Inspector D. Normatov — provided detailed information on the agenda issues, including the essence and significance of the Presidential Decree, new approaches being introduced in the sector, and the priority areas of the state audit system.

As emphasized, starting from April 1, 2026, the institution of the Chamber of Accounts representative — Chief Inspector — has been introduced in state bodies, and this mechanism is intended to improve the effectiveness of financial control.

For reference, in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2026,” the total amount of budget funds allocated to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan amounts to 63.7 trillion soums. Of this amount, 54 trillion soums (84.8 percent) are allocated for salaries, equivalent payments, and social tax; 500 billion soums (0.8 percent) for capital investments; and 9.2 trillion soums (14.4 percent) for subsidies to preschool educational institutions operating under public-private partnership arrangements, as well as for textbooks, computers and interactive boards, sports equipment, and other expenses.

It was also emphasized that enhanced control is being established over every budget fund through modern digital technologies and continuous monitoring systems. This will help ensure the early detection and prevention of recurring financial violations in the preschool and school education system, as well as guarantee the targeted and efficient use of funds.

At the conclusion of the event, participants were assigned specific tasks aimed at strengthening financial discipline, preventing violations, and further increasing the effectiveness of control measures.
