As was noted, on July 23, the President received the presentation of the COA’s activities and measures to improve the system of its implementation. It was noted that now the COA has become not only a supervisory institution, but also a body that ensures and provides opinions on budget discipline. Therefore, the main attention is paid to the prevention of violations of financial discipline and the analysis of the factors that determine it.

The COA activities are aimed at the timely prevention of violations of budget discipline in order to strengthen budget discipline and increase the efficiency of expenditure.

The economy of our country is growing steadily. Accordingly, over the past 8 years, government spending has increased 6 times. This, in turn, contributes to the expansion of the scope and volume of financial control. An effective way to solve this problem is digitalization. In this regard, the COA pays priority attention to digital transformation processes based on international standards.

In the first half of 2025, 38 control events were carried out, 23 of which were on-site and 15 were remote.

To save money, optimize budget expenditures and identify additional sources of income, a joint decision was made by the COA, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office. Currently, practical work is being carried out by created working groups in 22 ministries and departments receiving budget funds.

Proposals and recommendations developed based on the results of the inspections were sent to the Administration of the President.

The COA will continue to monitor the efficiency and legality of budget spending and the completeness of revenue receipts.
