Uzbekistan and Hungary SAIs Working Group Meeting
On March 26-31, a delegation headed by the President of the State Audit Office (SAO) of Hungary Mr. László Windisch visited Uzbekistan.

The foundations of bilateral cooperation were laid in Budapest in 2024. During this visit, an Agreement on Cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of Uzbekistan and Hungary was signed. An agreement was also reached to establish a Consultative Council of the SAIs of Uzbekistan and Hungary and to hold its first meeting in Samarkand. The first meeting was solemnly held in Samarkand on March 28 this year.
Following the visit, an Action Plan for Cooperation between the SAIs of Uzbekistan and Hungary for 2025-2027 was signed.
As part of this Action Plan, a regular meeting of the Working Group of both SAIs was held on July 29.
The current state and prospects of bilateral relations were discussed. The issues of exchanging professional documents, in particular, standards and guidelines for the development of audit methodologies and technologies, as well as online consultations were addressed.
The issues of preparation for the next meeting of the Advisory Council of the SAIs of the two countries in 2026 were particularly noted.
It was agreed that SAO of Hungary would organize a webinar on ‘Monitoring of the central budget and forecasting analyses of the SAO’ in the third quarter of this year.
At the same time, the Chamber of Accounts of Uzbekistan engaged to conduct a webinar for Hungarian partners on its experience in digitalization, remote monitoring and risk assessment.
The parties will continue to consult each other in accordance with the Action Plan.
