The First Parallel Session of the Conference Was Held on the Topic: “Information Technology Audit: Assessing Information Systems in a Digital Environment, Risk Management and Control Mechanisms”

Within the framework of the international conference on “Digitalization of Audit Processes and Analysis of Big Data through Artificial Intelligence,” held in Tashkent on 22–23 May 2026, the first parallel session concluded its work.

The session was organized as part of the implementation of the decrees and instructions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at improving the system of public audit and financial control, and focused on exchanging international experience in introducing artificial intelligence and digital technologies into the public audit sector.


The first parallel session was dedicated to “Information Technology Audit: Assessing Information Systems in a Digital Environment, Risk Management and Control Mechanisms.” Discussions covered modern approaches to IT auditing, assessment of digital infrastructure, identification of cybersecurity risks, and improvement of control mechanisms.


The session was attended by representatives of the leadership of the Accounts Chamber, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Youth Affairs Agency, as well as representatives of the international organizations AZOSAI and INTOSAI. Young auditors from the Supreme Audit Institutions of AZOSAI member states also actively participated.


During the discussions, particular attention was given to the practical aspects of digital transformation in public auditing, the effective use of artificial intelligence technologies, and improving decision-making systems based on Big Data analysis.


At the conclusion of the session, participants emphasized that the proposals and initiatives presented would contribute to further strengthening international cooperation and to developing digital analytical skills among young auditors.
