The President was informed about plans in the field of financial control.
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, reviewed the presentation of the Accounts Chamber on the results of work completed in 2024 and the main tasks for 2025.

First Deputy Chairman of the Accounts Chamber, Mehriddin Abdullaev, reported to the Head of State on the targeted and efficient use of public funds.
It was noted that in recent years, the activities of the Accounts Chamber have undergone changes — it has become a structure that assists in maintaining budget discipline in the regions. Instead of the outdated inspection system, an audit system based on international standards was introduced. In the World Bank’s “External Audit Indicator”, Uzbekistan has risen to the “good” level.
On July 10, 2024, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a Decree “On additional measures to strengthen financial control over the use of budgetary funds.” The decree outlines tasks for improving internal audit systems in ministries and government agencies, as well as conducting external audits of the execution of the consolidated budget.
The digital transformation of the agency continues: an automated information system (IS) called “Remote Audit” has been implemented, integrating 34 ministries and agencies.
As a result, in 2024, the Accounts Chamber ensured additional budget revenues of 3.7 trillion soums from new sources. Inefficient expenditures of ministries and agencies were optimized by 9.2 trillion soums, and financial deficiencies of 2.3 trillion soums were prevented. In the field of public procurement, deficiencies amounting to 4.5 trillion soums were identified and eliminated.
The meeting emphasized that systematic work in this direction must continue this year. To this end, the databases of 110 ministries and agencies will be integrated into the “Remote Audit” IS of the Accounts Chamber. This will allow for full monitoring of 480 trillion soums in budget expenditures this year.
The presentation also noted that measures will be taken this year to ensure the full collection of 309 trillion soums in budget revenues. A new practice of auditing projects financed by international financial institutions according to international standards will also begin.
The President emphasized the need for all government bodies to strictly adhere to financial discipline and ensure savings.
