The Memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation in preventing corruption, ensuring the efficient and targeted use of public funds, improving the effectiveness of the state financial control and external audit systems, and further enhancing institutional cooperation between state bodies in the field of anti-corruption.

In accordance with the Memorandum, the parties will closely cooperate in identifying and mitigating corruption risks, ensuring transparency and accountability in the management of public finances and budgetary resources, improving internal anti-corruption control mechanisms, and implementing analytical and preventive measures.

Within the framework of the Memorandum, cooperation will be carried out in the following key areas:

establishing an effective exchange of information in the field of combating corruption;

cooperating in the assessment and analysis of corruption risks;

developing proposals to eliminate corruption factors based on the findings of external audits and oversight activities;

preparing practical measures to strengthen internal anti-corruption control systems within state bodies and organizations;

organizing joint studies, analytical activities, seminars, training programs, and other cooperative events;

studying international best practices in combating corruption and introducing them into national practice;

conducting awareness-raising and preventive activities aimed at fostering an uncompromising attitude toward corruption among public officials.

The Memorandum also establishes a legal framework for the regular exchange of information and analytical materials, the operation of joint working groups, the development of proposals to improve regulatory and legal acts, and the expansion of cooperation in other areas of mutual interest.

This partnership is expected to contribute to enhancing the transparency and effectiveness of the state financial control system, ensuring the lawful and efficient use of public funds, identifying and eliminating corruption risks at an early stage, and supporting the consistent implementation of anti-corruption reforms in Uzbekistan.

The Memorandum entered into force on the date of its signing and serves as a solid legal foundation for developing long-term and effective cooperation between the parties in the field of combating corruption.
