Cooperation Agreement Signed with the State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia
On 1–5 December of this year, a delegation led by Mr. Edgars Korčagins, Auditor General of the State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia, is paying a working visit to our country.
The purpose of the visit is to strengthen bilateral relations between the Supreme Audit Institutions of the two countries and to exchange experience in the field of external public audit.
During the meetings, representatives of both sides delivered presentations on targeted topics. The presentations focused on important thematic areas of audit, including digitalization of operations, the use of artificial intelligence in risk analysis, improving audit methodologies, and implementing international audit standards.
In addition, a Cooperation Agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation between the State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia and the Chamber of Accounts was signed between the parties.
Within the framework of this Cooperation Agreement, the parties agreed to develop mutually beneficial cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions of both countries, exchange experience in external audit methodologies, information technologies and innovative solutions, as well as promote capacity building and professional development of specialists.
