A meeting was held in the Senate with the President of the Court of Audit of Slovenia

As previously reported, a delegation led by the President of the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia (Supreme Audit Institution), Yana Ahchin, paid an official visit to Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the Slovenian delegation held talks with the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, T. Narbaeva.


During the meeting, it was emphasized that cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions of the two countries has been steadily expanding. It was also noted that the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the parties serves to strengthen ties and further develop the exchange of experience.


It was highlighted that the analytical and research activities carried out by Supreme Audit Institutions are closely linked with parliamentary work, and that relying on their findings helps ensure effective parliamentary oversight and high-quality implementation of state programs.


In addition, the parties exchanged views on forming state and local budgets based on analysis, developing preventive measures to eliminate existing shortcomings, digitalizing control processes, and improving anti-corruption preventive mechanisms.


Special attention was also given to inter-parliamentary cooperation. It was emphasized that cooperation between the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the National Council of Slovenia is systematic and constructive in nature. Issues such as intensifying visits of parliamentary delegations, strengthening parliamentary oversight over program implementation, and exchanging experience in this area were discussed.


At the conclusion, the parties reached an agreement to further deepen cooperation and expand the exchange of experience between the parliaments of Uzbekistan and Slovenia, as well as between their Supreme Audit Institutions.
