Cooperation between the SAIs of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan is steadily developing
President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon is currently on a state visit to Uzbekistan at the invitation of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council was held during the visit. During the meetings, the development of active and close contacts at the government, parliament, and agency levels was noted with satisfaction.

The relations between the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of two countries are also developing rapidly. A Memorandum of Cooperation between the Chambers of Accounts of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan was signed in 2021.
Currently, both Chambers of Accounts are members of INTOSAI, ASOSAI, ECOSAI, the Councils of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the CIS, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
Over recent years, extended delegations of the two countries have met in Russia, India, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and Egypt. A regular meeting of the Council of Heads of SAIs of the CIS member states was held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, as part of the XXV INTOSAI Congress on October 27-31, 2025.
Within this event, a meeting was held between the Acting Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of Uzbekistan, Mehriddin Abdullaev, and the Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of Tajikistan, Djamshed Karimzoda.
On April 15-16, 2025, the 7th meeting of the Heads of SAIs of the SCO member states was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, attended by the deputy chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of Uzbekistan, S. Mirzaev.
At this event, Uzbekistan put forward proposals to improve the efficiency of water resource use by strengthening state control. Previously, delegations from both sides participated in the 6th Meeting of the Heads of SAIs of the SCO Member States, held in Lucknow, India, in 2023. The meeting was devoted to the "Integration of New Technologies in the Audit Process."
Auditors from both institutions also participated in international training courses and seminars held in Tashkent, Astana, Bishkek, Istanbul, Oslo, Nanjing, and elsewhere, exchanging professional experience.
The Chambers of Accounts of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan have established cooperation in the systematic study of public audit methodologies and the implementation of international auditing standards.
In the future, the SAIs of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan express their readiness to consistently develop cooperation and partnerships within bilateral and international organizations.
The knowledge and experience gained through mutual cooperation will contribute to the development of public financial control in line with international standards in these two friendly and fraternal countries.
