A seminar on cybersecurity at the Central Bank
A practical seminar on "Analysis, Elimination, and Prevention of Existing Problems in Implementation of Information Systems and Ensuring Cybersecurity" was held at the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the initiative of the Chamber of Accounts (COA).

The event was held at the initiative of the COA’s management to ensure information security in the banking system, identifying existing cyberthreats, and developing effective countermeasures in the context of the rapid development of information technology and the deepening of digital transformation processes.
The seminar was attended by the first deputy head of the Central Bank, employees responsible for industry areas, as well as deputy heads of commercial banks with state participation and specialists responsible for information technology and information security.
The event included presentations by responsible employees of the COA, the Central Bank, and the State Enterprise "Cybersecurity Center."
The presentations provided a detailed analysis of systemic problems identified during the implementation of information systems in state-owned banks, existing deficiencies in information security, as well as violations identified in this area and their causes. In addition, practical recommendations were provided on the requirements established in national legislation and international cybersecurity standards, including ensuring the cybersecurity of critical infrastructure facilities, risk management based on international standards, strengthening information system protection measures, and prioritizing information security in the context of digital transformation.
The seminar focused on complex and long-term APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) cyberattacks specific to the banking system, their characteristics, detection methods, and comprehensive defense strategies against such threats.
The event was held in an interactive format, with participants receiving detailed answers from experts to their questions. During the discussions, practical experiences were shared and the need to further strengthen cooperation in ensuring information security in the banking system was emphasized.
It was noted that this practical seminar will help ensure the secure implementation of information systems in state-owned and commercial banks, ensure cybersecurity, and improve early detection and threat prevention mechanisms in the industry.
