Virtual Seminar on Implementing Seamless E-Services

The European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) IT Working Group organized an international virtual seminar on “Implementing Seamless E-Services: Big Challenges and Small Victories”.

The seminar was co-organized by the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the Czech Republic and Estonia. Representatives of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Uzbekistan also participated in it.


The seminar focused on ways to create effective and user-friendly digital government services. The leading role and experience of SAIs in auditing and supporting the development of electronic services were discussed.


At the beginning of the event, President of the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic Mr. Miloslav Kala and Auditor General of Estonia, Chair of EUROSAI ITWG Mr. Janar Holm outlined the key challenges and issues arising in the seamless implementation of e-services.


Representatives of the European Commission and auditors from the SAIs of the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Qatar then delivered their coutry-specific presentations. 


Another panel discussion focused on the prerequisites for creating effective e-services. A presentation was also given on the use of the Integrated Educational Register (IER) to improve university management and increase the transparency of existing data.


Furthermore, a discussion took place on conducting IT audits in the public sector as part of the transition to e-services.


This virtual event was organized as a dynamic platform for exchanging ideas and problem-solving.
