Japan held training courses on government audit on public construction works

From June 15 to July 5, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) held training courses on "Government audit on public construction works " in Tokyo. The event was organized by JICA jointly with the Board of Audit (Supreme Audit Institution) of Japan.

It was attended by representatives of Supreme Audit Institutions of many countries of the world responsible for the audit of public construction works. The event was attended by the auditor of the Chamber of Accounts of Uzbekistan Sh. Soliev.

For information: Over recent years, the relations between the Chamber of Accounts of Uzbekistan and the Board of Audit of Japan have been developing rapidly. In June 2024, the visit of the delegation led by the first deputy chairman of the Chamber of Accounts M. Abdullaev to Tokyo took the relations between the two agencies to a new level.

As part of the program, experienced auditors of the Board of Audit of Japan conducted intensive training courses on 16 topics related to the audit of public construction works. Theoretical discussions were complemented by practical training at the Annaka Training Centre of the Board in Gunma Prefecture.

Several sites were visited, such as the training center of NEXCO-East Engineering and the multi-purpose water retention pond on the Tsurumi River.

Scientific and practical discussions were held on issues of ensuring transparency of audit reports and eliminating systemic difficulties in the audit process.

Participants acquired new advanced concepts in public works auditing and actively exchanged views with Japanese experts. The latter gave professional recommendations on conducting performance audits.

The organizers presented certificates to participants who successfully completed the program.
