Turkish Auditors: “The Tashkent International Conference Is Defining New Strategies”

Uzbekistan proved to be a very distinctive and impressive country.

This was our first visit to Uzbekistan, and that was our first impression. The city is very well organized, while the new buildings and rapidly developing districts looked highly impressive.

Projects aimed at developing the country’s infrastructure are clearly visible. One of the key factors of becoming a developed nation is strong infrastructure. Therefore, we highly appreciated Tashkent, which appears as a modern and advanced city.

The conference became a large-scale event with participants from different countries. Special attention given to young auditors made the conference even more valuable, as the new generation adapts quickly to technology and influences governance systems.

Through the use of artificial intelligence, data analytics, and digital transformation, Supreme Audit Institutions are seeking new methods and approaches. Meetings like this provide an important platform for exchanging experience.

Through this conference, we also communicated with participants from various countries, exchanged views, and gained valuable insights.

In particular, during Uzbekistan’s presentation and our visit to the Remote Audit Center of the Chamber of Accounts of Uzbekistan, we once again realized how important data truly is.

When we entered the center for the first time, what impressed us most was the centralized dashboard system and the large display containing extensive and critical performance indicators. This is especially important for system management because leadership always needs quick access to key performance indicators and timely decision-making.

We also learned that data from the existing electronic databases of relevant institutions and organizations in Uzbekistan is provided to the Chamber of Accounts and that there are no serious barriers in this process. This is highly important.

Today, data is one of the most valuable resources. To conduct audits electronically, analyze information, and effectively use artificial intelligence, auditors must have access to data. Therefore, we congratulate the Chamber of Accounts of Uzbekistan and consider the collection and availability of data to be a major achievement.

The digitalization of audit processes, the use of Big Data, and artificial intelligence are among today’s most pressing priorities. Above all, data quality is critical. Clean, high-quality, and structured data is essential for artificial intelligence to function properly.

Using artificial intelligence on any type of data may not always produce effective outcomes. Therefore, improving data quality must come first. At the same time, data should be reliable and verified. Only under such conditions can AI deliver accurate results. Data quality remains the most important factor in this field.

Currently, there is a memorandum aimed at developing cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions of Türkiye and Uzbekistan. Last year, representatives from Uzbekistan participated in training programs in Türkiye and exchanged experiences. This year, we participated in the Young Auditors Conference in Uzbekistan.

We thank our Uzbek colleagues for creating such an opportunity for international experience exchange and for organizing the event at such a high level. In particular, exchanging experience on how technologies are developed and implemented was highly beneficial.

In conclusion, we hope to continue face-to-face meetings, online communication, and information exchange with the Chamber of Accounts of Uzbekistan and further strengthen our cooperation in the future.
