The Visit of Representatives of the Royal Audit Authority of Bhutan to Uzbekistan Left Lasting Impressions
Representatives of the Supreme Audit Institution of the Kingdom of Bhutan, Tashi Dema and Lhakpa, participated in the international conference held in Tashkent on the topic “Digitalization of Audit Processes and Analysis of Big Data through Artificial Intelligence.” During the event, they shared their views and proposals regarding ongoing IT audit reforms in Bhutan and prospects for future cooperation with Uzbekistan in this area.

They particularly highlighted our country’s modern development path, achievements in digitalization, rich cultural heritage, and the exceptional hospitality of the Uzbek people.
According to the guests, Uzbekistan is one of the leading countries rapidly developing in line with the demands of today’s digital world and actively introducing IT and artificial intelligence technologies. At the same time, they expressed great respect for the country’s efforts to preserve national values, historical heritage, and cultural traditions. They were especially impressed by the cleanliness and orderliness of the capital city, as well as the sincerity, openness, and hospitality of its people.
The guests also expressed great appreciation for the unique taste of Uzbek national cuisine and the warm atmosphere across the country. They described Uzbekistan as a nation where modern progress is harmoniously combined with rich history and high culture.
Sharing their impressions of the conference, the participants emphasized that in the era of global transformation, international cooperation in digital technologies and artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly important. They described the conference as highly meaningful, practical, and inspiring, noting that such events play an important role in promoting experience exchange and strengthening cooperation among Supreme Audit Institutions of different countries.
In this regard, they expressed support for organizing such high-impact conferences annually as a traditional platform.
Representatives of the Royal Audit Institution were particularly impressed by the Remote Audit Center of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The center was highly evaluated as an advanced example of a modern audit system.
They noted that the remote audit mechanism serves as an important innovative solution for ensuring fast, transparent, and efficient audit processes while saving time and financial resources, and emphasized their intention to apply this experience within the Smart Audit Platform project being implemented in Bhutan.
The representatives also stressed that there are broad opportunities to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions of the two countries.
In particular, they emphasized that Uzbekistan’s experience in applying IT and AI technologies in the audit sector is of significant value to Bhutan.
At the same time, it was noted that Bhutan’s experience in ensuring accountability in public services could also be beneficial within the framework of bilateral cooperation.
The guests expressed particular satisfaction with the high-level organization of the visit, noting that all activities had been conducted professionally and efficiently, and conveyed their sincere gratitude to the people of Uzbekistan.
They also emphasized that the experience gained in Uzbekistan, the warm reception, and the sincere atmosphere would remain a memorable and lasting impression for a long time.
