For reference: During the visit of China’s Auditor General Hou Kai to Uzbekistan on 9–13 April of this year, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Supreme Audit Institutions of the two countries. During the visit of the delegation headed by First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of Uzbekistan M. Abdullaev to Beijing on 4–8 September, a three-year Action Plan was signed between the SAIs of Uzbekistan and China.

The main purpose of the visit was to hold the next meeting between representatives of the two institutions and exchange experience in the field of public auditing.

At the beginning of the meeting, M. Abdullaev emphasized that relations between Uzbekistan and China are at a high level and that the Leader of Uzbekistan attaches great importance to strengthening bilateral cooperation with China.

Information was provided on the reforms and transformations currently underway at the Chamber of Accounts. The essence of the Presidential decrees adopted to improve the Chamber’s activities was also explained.

It was noted that Uzbekistan is working to develop the public financial oversight system based on the “Chinese model.”

Representatives of the Chamber of Accounts also delivered a presentation on the development of the system “Use of Information Technologies (IT) in Audit Processes.”

The delegation of the National Audit Office was introduced to the activities of the Chamber’s “Remote Monitoring Center.”

The parties agreed to further expand practical cooperation and the exchange of experience in innovative audit technologies.

The meeting emphasized that the common goal of both sides is to establish an effective public audit system that serves the interests of the people.
