The fact that this year marks the 120th anniversary of the trade union movement in Uzbekistan is of great significance for all of us. 

As a result of the reforms implemented by the Head of our State over recent years, trade unions in our country have become a truly mass social institution and have earned recognition among the people.

Today, our trade unions unite approximately 8 million members. This is a great achievement! They serve as an example for all of us in protecting the rights and interests of our workers and widely promoting the principles of equality and justice.

Furthermore, trade unions of the New Uzbekistan have demonstrated great dedication in implementing our social programs, providing youth employment, and protecting the interests of our esteemed women.

We are all witnessing the effective cooperation between trade unions and public organizations in improving labour relations.
