International Seminar in China for Young Auditors for SCO Member States

On September 22–26, the Chinese National Audit Office (CNAO) held an international seminar for young auditors from SCO member countries in Nanjing and Shanghai.

The seminar aimed to share practical knowledge and experience in government auditing and enhance the role of young auditors in developing government auditing.


Approximately 80 representatives from 42 countries participated in the event. Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of Kazakhstan, Indonesia, and other Asian countries also participated. Two auditors from the Chamber of Accounts of Uzbekistan A. Khasanov and Sh. Umedillaev, also took part in it.


The event was chaired by Mr. Hou Kai, Auditor General of the People's Republic of China. The meetings focused on strengthening the independence of audit practices, improving the quality of reporting, and expanding the role of young professionals in the development of national public financial control systems. Representatives of the international audit community were introduced to the public audit processes of the CNAO.


The program explored modern approaches to developing the audit profession, covering the topics of "Improving Professional Skills" and "Implementing Technological Innovation."


An international address was presented, including initiatives of the ASOSAI to develop the professional skills of young auditors, implement digital technologies, and build a global youth audit community.


Meetings were held with faculty and students from Nanjing Audit University and young auditors from the Shanghai Municipal Audit Office, enabling the establishment of professional and intercultural contacts.


The events were constructive. Young auditors from SCO member countries were able to gain new motivation and guidance for their work.
