Seminar on improving the efficiency of Situation centres

On July 23, the President of Uzbekistan tasked the Chamber of Accounts (COA) with conducting a risk analysis and further improve the efficiency of using budget funds through the automated information system "Remote Audit".

Based on this, a practical seminar was held on improving the efficiency of Situation centres involving members of 22 ministries and agencies receiving large amounts of funds from the state budget.


The event, which was held at the Ministry of Health, was attended by deputy heads of responsible ministries and departments, heads of internal audit services, compliance control system services and Situation centres.


The seminar discussed mechanisms for organizing the activities of Situation centres, solving existing problems and improving work processes. An analysis was conducted of the 


The automated information system "Remote Audit" of the COA, as well as the efficiency of the internal control systems of ministries and departments was analyzed.  


COA’s deputy chairman A. Allaberganov emphasized the importance of transforming the Situation Centres into the units, where all relevant programs of the ministries will be combined in one site, all programs will be reviewed and analyzed, and their information will be promptly used to make important decisions. It was noted that ministries and departments should pay close attention to studying the risks presented by the COA.


COA’s deputy chairman S. Mirzayev emphasized the importance of timely study of risk analyses sent by the COA’s Remote Control Centre to the Situation Centres of the ministries, and prompt response to the results. 


A multilateral exchange of views took place on issues of improving the efficiency of these centres, expanding the coverage of risk analyses and improving their accuracy.


The event was held in a constructive format.
