An international event of the Anti-Corruption Network

In Tashkent, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) held an international event dedicated to the 5th baseline report of the Anti-Corruption Network within the framework of the Istanbul Action Plan.

As part of the event, the draft "Roadmap" for further improvement of anti-corruption reforms in Uzbekistan was also presented. Representatives of the Chamber of Accounts also took part in it.

Based on the Istanbul Action Plan presented by the OECD, the anti-corruption reforms carried out in Uzbekistan were analyzed. Along with the existing achievements, priority areas requiring attention were also identified.

For reference: In 2024, the 5th stage of monitoring of the OECD Istanbul Action Plan was carried out in Uzbekistan, and the country's anti-corruption policy received the highest rating among the countries of Central Asia. The monitoring covered 9 areas of effectiveness, including public procurement, independence of the judiciary and prosecutorial authorities, conflicts of interest, and honesty in business.

This year, the event featured discussions between local and international experts in each area. A Roadmap based on OECD recommendations was presented and specific tasks were identified for its effective implementation.
