A practical seminar on the targeted use of budgetary funds

The Accounts Chamber, in cooperation with the General Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of economy and finance, is organizing a two-day training and practical seminar on the topic "Enhancing the efficiency and targeted use of funds allocated from the budget for wages, construction, procurement, and other purposes" at the Tashkent State University of Economics.

Heads and employees of internal audit services, financial and economic departments, and compliance control divisions of ministries and agencies are participating in the seminar.

The purpose of the event is to expand public participation and civic oversight in strengthening state financial supervision.

The President of our country has assigned all government institutions the task of ensuring budget savings and improving the efficiency of budget spending based on the principle of "economy and sustainability".

In his speech, First Deputy Chairman of the Accounts Chamber M. Abdullaev spoke about the control activities carried out in 12 ministries — the main recipients of budget funds — aimed at strengthening budget discipline and the targeted use of funds.

As noted, the "Remote Control Center" created under the Accounts Chamber, as part of digitalization, introduced the "Remote Audit" information system, which enables automatic analysis in 28 areas.

In addition, "Situation Centers" equipped with the information systems "Remote Audit" and the "Monitoring Portal" of the Ministry of Economy and Finance have been established in 12 ministries to detect errors and violations early in the execution of the budget and financial control digitalization.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Accounts Chamber S. Mirzaev emphasized improving the effectiveness of internal audit to establish effective control over the targeted and efficient use of budget funds in 2025 and to prevent financial violations.

Speakers stressed the importance of efficient budget spending, avoiding non-targeted expenditures, complying with budget discipline, and preventing violations of the law.

The seminar continues.
